The DLC PEI Tank Kit for the Prime is a tank upgrade that changes the look and durability level of the . A viewing gap on the bottom side of the tank provides certainty about the liquid level without losing the steel tank optics. Matching the viewing gap, the kit includes a PEI tip insert for the Kayfun Prime drip tip made of the same sturdy plastic material (polyetherimide - PEI is the industrial name for the brand name "Ultem").

This particular Special Edition version is finished with a black DLC coating. DLC (Diamond-Like Carbon) coating is a process that hardens the surface of the stainless steel, making it extremely hard and resistance against scratches while giving it a striking black appearance.
